Mummy Hot Dogs

Back during Halloween we made Mummy Hot Dogs. We wrapped hot dogs with crescent rolls and then used sprinkles to make eyes and a mouth. The sprinkles were a real hit with Cole since we usually don't get to eat sprinkles on dinner food.

White Shirt Pictures

Every year around the time of his birthday I take a picture of Cole in one of his Daddy's white dress shirts. It's fun to see how much he's grown up in the last 3 years. I have all the pictures in a small 4x6 album that I keep for him.

More Creative Wrapping Ideas

In addition to letting Cole paint gift bags, I also let him use stickers to decorate solid colored gift bags and wrapped packages. It keeps him busy for an afternoon while I can wrap Christmas presents.

Favorite iPhone App

Cole's favorite iPhone App right now is Frosty Lite. I don't let him play with my phone very often, but it's a nice little treat when it's been a long day and I need to get dinner ready.

If you send a request with your child's name and their favorite Disney character to the address below you will get a beautiful 8x10 glossy picture in the mail a few weeks later. I sent in a note for Cole and a few days ago he got his personalized picture from Buzz Lightyear.

Letter of the Week - Z

I've been trying to incorporate a snack into our Letter of the Week activities. This week we made Zebra Striped Brownie Bites. Cole and I baked brownie bites and then used white frosting in a ziplock bag with the end snipped off to create our zebra stripes.

Letter of the Week - Z

For our Z letter of the week we did some tracing again and made a Z zebra. The zebra activity came from one of my favorite site - No Time for Flashcards.

Free For All Art

While picking up a few things at Hobby Lobby I let Cole pick out a small package of bug, bat & spider stickers. I then gave him a sheet of black & white paper and some black & white crayons, markers and colored pencils. He had a great time drawing and adding stickers to his pictures. It's amazing to me how a $1 pack of stickers can entertain a little kid for an afternoon.

Toilet Paper Frankenstein

This might be my favorite craft we did for Halloween. We used a toilet paper roll, some paint and goggly eyes and buttons for Frankenstein's ears. I added a magnet to the back when we were done so that Cole could display his project on the fridge.
