We saw a fabulous fireworks display on Tuesday night for Canada Day (it takes awhile to get dark so they don't start until 11:30); this weekend we'll be getting ready for holidays as we leave next Friday for 3 weeks. Lots of photos to come! I'm hoping to frame my son's grad pictures from last weekend; nothing fancy in doing that but they'll get done! We took lots of pictures with his grandparents, a nice momento of the day. Canadian Jayne

My plans this weekend are not a whole lot. I will be working on finishing up the remodel around my house as well as taking the time to relax.

Happy Fourth to everyone!
We'll spend a quiet 4th at home. Grilling Brats, eating potato salad, then this evening we have our own neighborhood fireworks to shoot!
Lots of pictures will be taken for sure!

I have a longer list than I have days available. First and foremost I must replant my 4 front yard containers. My pretty little cosmos could not take the Phoenix heat. I also have a few art & craft projects that may get done if the kids cooperate.
We'll also head over to Luke AFB to watch the fireworks. But most importantly we will take time to reflect on the lives that have been lost in order that we may live free.

Nothing going on here. We stay home on these days of madness! Maybe the kids will come over later for burgers and fries! Hope you have a wonderful and safe day!

Not a thing because I'm sick as a dog. Ugh!

Not to worry: the Lord's given us some beautiful fireworks. Even though parts of the country has gotten waaaay too much rain, we're in the middle of a drought here in the sunny South.

Love the sound of rain...

A pennsylvania dutch folk fest, tomorrow a bbq with my two brothers and their families. Unfortunately, the fireworks in PA most likely will be rained out for tonight anyway!

We didnt do much on the 4th, but did watch the fireworks. Saturday we are planning on doing some back to school shopping, we are trying to get things for my daughters freshman year at college. Sunday will probably be more relaxation to get ready for the work week ahead.

We went to the neighborhood park, where they had all day events - craft shows, bands and fireworks. Today we had a nice family BBQ.

Yesterday we went to a friend's house for a barbecue. I brought my famous cole slaw. Today, we went to Ikea and then I spent the afternoon washing clothes and reading. Tonight, I got some alone time to play on the Internet. Tomorrow we are having family over for a birthday party.

We watched the fireworks at the local high school and battled the rain! We also celebrated my son's 8th birthday on the 5th, so that was the highlight of my weekend. Thanks for hosting a giveaway. :-)

I hope I am not too late to enter....we took our kids to the little town we grew up in, where they were in the parade there. Then we went back to my mother-in-laws house where we played in the pool and on the slip and slide. We ate fried chicken and bbq burgers. Then we went to the football stadium and watched the fireworks. We went from 8:15am - 10:30pm....we were TIRED!!
